Salt Air is located in the heart of the old town of Dunbar just minutes from the beach, harbour's, High Street, cafes, independent shops, restaurants and train station. Salt Air is a purpose built holiday let completed in 2026. It offers a modern, comfortable accommodation perfect for couples or a couple with a young family. Despite being in the heart of the town, Salt Air is very private. There is a high sandstone wall on two sides, one of which is the original town wall, 

Salt Air is the ideal size for couples or a family with younger children. The accommodation offers: 

• Double height living space with comfortable sofa bed, reading chair, table with four chairs, smart TV, books and games. 
• Modern kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, coffee machine and everything you'd expect in your own kitchen.
• Modern wet room with waterfall shower head, heated towel rail and luminating mirror.
• Wooden staircase leading to mezzanine bedroom with king size bed. The bed faces a velux window where you can watch the stars at night!

Salt Air was the idea and design of ours (Laura & Jamie). We have lived in our house for 14 years and for the last 5 years had wanted to utilise a piece of land at the bottom of the garden to build a holiday let.  Ideas started from buying a static caravan to a pre-built pod that we could crane over the wall. But they always felt too easy and didn't make use of the great height of the plot. What started as an idea for a bothy soon became a well proportioned one bedroom house, with double height ceiling, windows on one side to make the most of the morning sun and a large double door to make the most of the sun during the day. It was designed to make the most of the south facing aspect but maintain privacy for guests and ourselves. We finally began the process in 2021 and Salt Air began to take shape on the ground in 2025 and was completed in January 2026.

Salt Air is just a stones throw from the sea. Whilst you cannot see the sea from the property you can hear the waves and smell the salt air! Hence the name.

We, Laura & Jamie, live beside Salt Air with our two children, two dogs, cat and crested gecko!

Living beside the property means that we are close at hand should you have any questions or need to borrow something specific. However, we will always be led by the guests as to how much interaction they may wish to have with us. If you want to come and go without even speaking to us that is absolutely fine!
